What is in-home pet sitting?
In-home pet sitting is when a professional pet care provider comes to your home for scheduled visits and cares for your pet(s) in their own familiar environment. Each visit is customized to match your pet’s routine, preferences, and care needs, with visits scheduled as often and at the times you choose.
In addition to caring for your pets, an in-home pet sitter also helps look after your home while you’re away. This may include bringing in mail and packages, adjusting lights, blinds, TV, or radio, and watering plants. These small details help your home feel lived-in and provide added peace of mind while you’re gone.
How do I get started?
Getting started is easy. Simply contact us to schedule a free meet & greet. This allows us to meet you and your pet, review routines and care needs, and ensure we’re a great fit.
Once the meet & greet is complete, services can be scheduled as needed based on your travel plans or daily routine.
Is there a minimum number of visits per day while I’m away?
We want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. To support their routine and overall well-being, we generally recommend the following minimum visit schedule within any 24-hour period:
- Cats: 1 visit per day
- Dogs: 3 visits per day
These guidelines help us provide consistent, attentive care and ensure your pets receive the time, interaction, and support they need. If you have unique circumstances or questions, we’re always happy to talk through options and help create the best plan for your pet.
Do you administer medications?
We are happy to administer routine medications as directed, including pills, topical treatments, and other prescribed care. Medication instructions are reviewed during your meet & greet to ensure everything is handled safely and accurately.
If your pet has special medical needs, we’re always happy to discuss the best care plan together.
What happens in case of an emergency with my pet?
Your pet’s safety and well-being are always our top priorities. If an emergency occurs, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you are unavailable, we will follow the emergency instructions provided during your meet & greet, including contacting your veterinarian or an emergency clinic if needed.
Having up-to-date emergency contacts and veterinary information on file allows us to act quickly and confidently should a situation arise.
How do you handle my keys and access to my property?
To help us provide dependable care, we ask that two working keys be provided during your initial meet & greet. Keeping your keys on file allows us to be prepared for future services and respond quickly when care is needed.
If you prefer to have your keys returned at the end of service, we’re happy to accommodate that. Please note that a fee may apply for future key pick-up or drop-off arrangements.
For homes in gated communities, a gate code or access device is needed before service begins to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Your keys and access details are treated with care and respect and are used only to care for your pets and home.
Why should I use a pet sitter instead of boarding my pet(s)?

Do you offer overnight pet sitting?
We specialize in scheduled in-home visits that allow pets to remain comfortable in their familiar environment while receiving consistent, attentive care. While we do not offer overnight services, early morning and late evening appointments are available to help meet your pet’s needs.
If you’re unsure what visit schedule works best, we’re always happy to talk through options and make recommendations.
What if I need to change or cancel my service?
We understand that plans can change. We encourage you to book early, and if your plans shift, simply let us know. We’re proud to offer a flexible, fair, and fee-free change and cancellation policy.
There are no change fees and no cancellation fees, even during busy holiday periods. Changes or cancellations made before your scheduled payment charge date will not be charged.

Do you walk dogs during extreme heat?
Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to us. During periods of extreme heat we adjust walks when needed. This may include shorter walks, earlier walks, shaded routes, backyard time, or indoor enrichment to prevent overheating or paw injury.
We always use our best judgment and will communicate with you if weather conditions require modifications.
